A Tribute To PA - Kooser State Park
Updated: Sep 30, 2018
Keeping in line with my tribute to PA and my love of the Outdoors, I must include a very special place that my family and extended family has went for many years. This place is Kooser State Park and going yearly for 1 week is a tradition! This is a lovely and lush green place in the summer that is easily passed by on your way to Somerset, PA. Many do not stop to enjoy this great park, and unfortunately due to state funding the beach area has been closed for some time. Hopefully the State can improve its allocation of spending on mystical parks like Kooser where special life long memories are made. I have traveled all over the U.S., around the Caribbean and throughout a large portion of Europe but hiking around Kooser is still one my favorite places to explore in the summer because wonderful nostalgia it brings!
You sleep like a baby at this place and it makes you feel great in the morning to take an early adventure. There is a cool little pine forest within the park that provides some unique lighting when the sunlight shines through the trees, it’s terrific for capturing pictures!
